He encontrado una fotografía de uno de mis viejos cuadros (me refiero a uno de aquellos que pinté sobre un lienzo con pintura acrílica).

Este cuadro fué hecho en la época que yo estaba estudiando para ser "Delineante", por eso el estilo es "constructivismo" con un toque de "surrealismo". El cuadro representa mi visión, en el futuro, de Bilbao, mi ciudad.

Fué vendido a un hombre en la exposición que hice en el "amarillo" de Deusto, Bilbao.

Espero que os guste y lo disfruteis.

Ok, to be a designer and an artist is fantastic, but travelling is what I really like the most.

Travelling you can make art too.

Take photographies, learn different art techniques, visit museums or art galleries, architecture or just meet new cultures and people.

This time I share with you my travel to Bali and Indonesia showing you some photos.

Working as a freelance I learned a lot. When I came back from USA I found an industrial City like it was Bilbao changing to be a service city.

So this change was hard to understand for many companies... and advertisign and design was the first thing they reduced. Bad times for everybody.

This part of my live I draw, made paintings, made posters using airbrush, designed with my first Macintosh and learned how to threat with clients.

Yes, "clients"... the people who pay you for doing works...

"If you want to learn how to be a graphic designer, them, work for an editorial company for at least a year. There is not better place to learn". Donibane said.

When the Grupo Correo (Grupo Vocento now) made a process looking for designers, I was there becouse I Knew that if I wanted to learn about editorial design, it was the right place.

Aflter been making illustrations for the newspaper group, they gave my the opportunity to work as an editorial designer.

The work was very hard, a lot of hours, most of them trying to be on time,  but I learned a lot. Jounalist people are very interesting so I tried to learn from them.

If something wanted to be Donibane in his life, was an illustrator.

He just drawed for making comics, or just for had fun. "When I was young my school books were always full of illustrations all around".

"Now, with the computer is the same, the only difference is that my books keep very inmaculate... well, not all of them".

Donibane, at the age of 25 created in Bilbao his own "Art and Technology Studio" with Jorge de la Herran y Oscar "osito".

"Combine art and new technologies was a great idea. We spend years creating a new languaje. Multimedia, internet, graphic design, editorial design... and at the same time work with two talents, like Jorge and Oscar made my better, so thanks to both of them" Donibane said.

During this last 20 years Donibane has done around a hundred logotypes. But as he always says, "there are no one similar to another".
