Hacer una fotografía con aspecto de cuadro utilizando las nuevas tecnologías digitales es a lo que yo llamo un "photopainting". Quizás existan otros nombres, pero para mi este es el más lógico.

Para explicar está técnica muestro uno de mis trabajos con título "Begoña".

Esta basílica es donde está ubicada la virgen patrona (aunque quizás debería llamarse "matrona") de todos los Bizkainos (por cierto, Bilbao es la capital de Bizkaia, una de las provincias vascas).

Desde hace al menos cuatro años vengo colaborando con el Ayuntamiento de Bakio y su sitio web compartiendo mis fotografías con ellos. Claro, estas fotografías son de temática "Bakio".

Para mi, este pueblo, en la costa de Bizkaia, es muy especial, sobre todo porque pasé muchos veranos allí. Está muy cerca de Bilbao (aprox. media hora).

Since at least four years ago I have been collaborating with the Bakio´s Council website, sharing my photos with them. Of course all of the photographies are about Bakio.

To me, this town, at the bizkaian coast, is very special, because I spend a lot of summers there. Is close to Bilbao (around half an hour) .

As I know, part of my family are from there (well, this is a large history, maybe another day I write about it ;-)

Sualker is a Sumigas Group company. Hired me at the year 2006 to design a Corporate Identity and a website.

The company needs to use a very special colors, a kind of fucsia color and yellow one, and this has an explanation. As a Rent construction company, the materials need to be localizate as soon as possible.

Be an artist and a designer and work with new technologies some times makes me be part of iniciatives like this.

Well, right now it is not only an iniciative... but it was seven years ago when I started on it.

What is Internet&Euskadi Association?
Basque Country is call in basque "Euskadi", so, as you can imagine, is the internet association for all the basque people.

It does many different things, like workshops, projects like "Buber awards" for the best basque websites, and the most important "It get close the new technologies to the basque society".

What does a designer for an association?
This is a great question. And almost does everything that it is require.
Organice a congress, design a flying banner, design a logotype, donate a project like "Donearte", prepare a presentation...

What does an association for a designer?
Be part of this association makes me be part of the new technologies, learn a lot with the people, be alert for the change... talking about art and technology... and of course, spent a lot of hours for it ;-)

How can be part of the Internet&Euskadi Association?
It is quite easy. You just have to go to the blog:

Donibane has been thinking about "creating" an humanitarian project since long time ago. After years taking photos and saving them in the hard disk or CD-roms or DVDs, he thought about a way to do something for those people who need help.

Donearte was the solution.

"Art and Technology, Technology and art"

So, what is Donearte?
If you have a lot of images, taking by your digital camera or you have made digital alteration, now you have the opportunity to donate them for an humanitarian help.

First, you have to select the ones (photos) that you think are better, no matter the category, we do it.

Them, you sent them to us (soon will be able a dynamic website) and we will make the selection and sell them (by CD or by the website) to the clients.

The money we make will be for humanitarian project.

Some ONG have been noticed about this project and they want to collaborate with it.

Who support this project?
The internet&euskadi association, locate in Basque Country is the one that support this project.
