Why I painting flowers all the time?
That is a good question and the answer is "I have no idea".
Or I have it ... I like the colors, and textures, and the light reflection... this can be an explanation ;-)
Since I was fifteen years old I have been painting flowers, and all kind of them ...
So, here are more examples of the "bodegons" that I have been painting.

Here is how illustration can permitte a designer make something creative.
The cliente was the "Medio Ambiental Department of Biscay".
The illustration has some kind of movement.
Here is how it looked.
After been painting for several years, and after learned how to use the airbrush, the year 1992 was the year of the poster contest.
What does mean?
I do not know if everywhere else this is very commun, but in Basque Country many cities and towns celebrates its aniversaries, or annual parties... sometimes I do not know how to call them.
Anyway, all of them make a poster contest and give to the winner money (not to much, but is ok), so that year I decided to be part of the artist that participate on the contest.
Bilbao Party, Ezkaray, Carnavales Bilbao...
I did not win any of them (I was the second at Ezcaray) but I learned a big lesson the very next year. Do not waste your time trying to make an easy money with your art. Better play to lottery ;-) more chance to win, that is for sure.

If there is a year on my live that I have created huge amount of art, was the year 1987.
I have no idea how many paintings I made, but could be more than a hundred. Painting with acrylics supposed to me paint very quickly, as fast as possible, becouse the paper does not waited for me.
I imagine that been 18 years old was critical on my live... so I expressed myself by painting and painting...
Here are some examples of my work.
Ok, my surf experiencia was very bad (to many big waves at Bakio´s beach) ... but I made this "painting" on my surf board... Do not ask me what I tried to made... to me was always "the ege"... or a kind of it.
Here I was 16 years old and everything that I have on my hands was on risk becouse I wanted to "paint" it... surfboards, bicycles, walls, books... ;-)
When I started with website design I was making "multimedia" so to me, make websites was almost the same. The only diference was the size of the images and the html code.
The "imagination" was and still been the most important thing is you want to design...

Be an artis, a designer ... or what ever you want is fantastic. But what I really wanted to be was an illustrator. Ok, I work sometimes like it, but I mean AN ILLUSTRATOR... not a part time ;-)

Working as a freelance I learned a lot. When I came back from USA I found an industrial City like it was Bilbao changing to be a service city.
So this change was hard to understand for many companies... and advertisign and design was the first thing they reduced. Bad times for everybody.
This part of my live I draw, made paintings, made posters using airbrush, designed with my first Macintosh and learned how to threat with clients.
Yes, "clients"... the people who pay you for doing works...
