Cada vez es más común encontrarse con ilustradores que no saben dibujar o diseñadores que no saben diseñar.
Debe ser un tema de "modas".
Yo enseño un ejemplo de como trabajo y de verdad pienso que es la forma de hacerlo hoy en día aprovechando las nuevas tecnologías.
Primero, a mano, dibujo la idea, poco a poco, perfilando y sombreando para una vez digitalizado (scanner) trabajarlo con el photoshop para darle el toque final.

> English version What is most difficult for an artist, just know the technique or have his own style? Many people never find his own style. But it really does not matter, because is not necessary to have it. You just can mix different styles and the new one will be "a personnel style". The artist fills like is not doing the right thing if somebody tell that is not creating a new style. But we (who try) know that create "a new style" is not easy because many people have tried it before and is trying righ now. My style, what I call "Donibanefication" is the mix up between different styles or techniques. Illustration, photography, painting and of course, a lot of imagination. ¿Qué es más dificil para un artista, saber la técnica o tener un estilo propio? Durante los últimos años yo he estado buscando tener mi estilo. Pero al mismo tiempo también he estudiado otras técnicas. Mucha gente nunca encontrará su propio estilo. Pero eso realmente no importa, porque no es necesario tener uno. También se puede mezclar los que ya existen y seguro que saldrá "un estilo personal". El artista siente que no está haciendo lo correcto si alguién le dice que no está consiguiendo crear un nuevo estilo, que solo está copiando. Pero nosotros (los que lo intentamos) pensamos que "crear un nuevo estilo" no es tarea sencilla, ya que muchos lo han intentado antes y muchos lo están haciendo en este mismo momento. Mi estilo, el cual denomino "Donibanefication" es la mezcla de muchos diferentes estilos y técnicas. La ilustración, la fotografía, la pintura y por supuesto, mucha imaginación. Entonces, el constructivismo, el surrealismo, la pintura abstracta y otras más lo completan. Y muestro un ejemplo ;-)

Many people think that I am just a designer. Other think that I am a photographer. Some other beleive that I work as an illustrator. Others that I am a writter...
But the ones who really knows me they think that I am an "artist".
And to me be an "artist" is this. Make a lot of many different "things". Not just one or two. Make everything that I can. And I have a lot to learn... for example, sculture... my next "trip" or adventure. I will be able to make what I want in this speciallity? (you will see it next year).

Marta Gorostiza ha elegido este trabajo para enseñar su dominio del photoshop.
Composición, color, equilibrio con el collage, etc. son algunos los aspectos en los que ella ha trabajado.
Particularmente pienso que la fotografía que sacó en la recepción a Unai Basurko es muy buena, y el retoque ha mejorado lo que ya había.
Muy bien Marta, has mejorado mucho durante el curso, e incluso creo que has creado un nuevo estilo "el fotoparty" ;-)

Donibane has his own studio at TALDE, Algorta in Getxo.
Here he is creating his art. Computer, digital photography, acrilyc paint, ink, canvas... As always he says, "the art of the new century".

This time the client (a big print company) told Donibane to make two big paintings for its hall.
At the age of 17 Donibane made two big murals. With a friend "Carlos Molinero" they painted this two murals at Company Denak, at Zamudio and Basauri.
"Another great experience", Donibane said. "When you are so young and you are in front of these huge walls and you have to make paint on them, you fill really scare".
