Before summer time, when I talked to Pilar from TALDE, a place where people can learn to make "art" like ceramic, sculture, drawing, etc. she told me why not to prepare a "Digital Alteration Course", so I told her "why not?".

This course will allow students to learn basic skills in digital sketching, drafting and they will learn scanning procedures and the digital print works.

"Digital alteration, or digital photo retouching" is something that everybody can make, just need "imagination" and a "computer" ;-)

The course will be like a Workshop where everybody will learn to make, instead of just have the theory.

Ok, lets talk again about help the needs.

I dont know if you (who ever are you) have helped somebody in your live.

I am not talking about help a friend to decides between going on vacation to the beach or to the mountain.

I mean help those people that need food, or clouth, or medical attention...

"Project Donearte" borned two years ago thinking to help this people.

I had the "idea", but a couple of friends have helped me to try to do something with it.

Now is the time to try to make another step... a big one.

Working at the year 2000 as a designer full time for Thaumat, a Telecommunication Engineering Company locates at the Technological Park of Zamudio, Biscay, I received a call from Serikat, a technology service company sites in Bilbao.

They were looking for a designer to work for the company.

So, the project and money were good and I decided to try.

The outsorcing is something very commun in this kind of companies, so they offered me to go to the software Gobernment of Biscay company, call Lantik.

For five years I worked for them at their excellent installations. And I learned a lot.

I learned how the public institutions work for us (I mean the citizens).

I did design almost everything a designer can design: stands, logotypes, websites, editorial design, multimedia, posters, cards, illustrations, digital alteration, coordinate projects ... I worked there like if I were at an Advertising Agency company... making campaigns, events, organization, congress... and of course, always been supporting by Serikat, the company that I work.

And I met too a lot of very interesting people.

So, thanks to all of them for the years I expended there ;-) and I know that been a designer and be working with software engineering people all around was something difficult for them to understand sometimes the way I do my work (they know what I mean). The same happened to me with them.

Now, working for Serikat, I still working for Lantik, but just as an external designer.

Lantik has "all the rights" of the works that I have done for them.

At the same time Donibane keep making art, digital and analogic. Taking photographies and looking for new ways to make art.

Illustrations, Children Books, Corporate Identities, websites, interior design, editorial design, murals... is what he really likes to do.

Ok, here is a great visite.

This time to the Chillida-Leku, the place where the basque artist Chillida has a Museum.

What a very special place. It is locates in Hernani, close to San Sebastian, the museum has a green field and a "caserio" (basque house) with some of Chillida´s work.

The scultures are all around. And all kind of them, differente sizes and styles.

Meet the work of an "universal" artist like he was is something that I really enjoyed visiting. The atmosphere, the air, the sound, all is art there.

And here is a photo or digital alteration( at top) of this great visite that I have done and this is how I see his art... part of the nature.

Many people like the surrealism. To me is more than an style, is "Food for Brain" and you have to think about what are you looking at.

This time "fishing in your mind" is the painting that I show you.

To me ART is this... a message, a composition, a color balance...

Working on my own studio, "Atlantica" we made (my partner Jorge de la Herran and me) a multimedia call "Formación de Formadores", in english, something like "Teaching teachers" more or less.

Show you all the software made is impossible, but I can share with you some images of the application.

Summer and vacation time is great to look inside my old cds or dvds.

I have founded some interesting work that I have done.

Here is a example of the logotypes I used to design.

Ok, to be a designer and an artist is fantastic, but travelling is what I really like the most.

Travelling you can make art too.

Take photographies, learn different art techniques, visit museums or art galleries, architecture or just meet new cultures and people.
