Panorámica en Fadura, Getxo by Donibane

Parque de Fadura > English version

Taking photos using the "Panoramic" option is something really interesting, but if it is taken with the camera/movil phone with 5 megapixels is maybe not the best way to do it.

To see it larger go to:

"Painter" the amazing software, by Donibane | 2009

donibaneleku 25/03/2009 @ 08:49

> English version

When I first met "Painter", the software, it was around ten years ago.

"Painter" is like its name says "to paint". I mean, you can almost make all the efects than you are able to create just with your hands in a traditional style.

And if you combine it with "Photoshop", the results are really amazings.

I show you an example of an image created by photoshop and them been manipulated by myself using "Painter".

Gracias a todos/as,
Mikeldi Donibane

"Surf at Mundaka" by Donibane | 2009

Surf at Mundaka

> English version

Taking shots at Mundaka (Basque Country) is always a pleasure. This time the waves were really big and some "braves" got in to the water to "tame" them.

What I like about this picture is the black little human figure "running" in front of this "dough" with water form.

To see it more large go to:

Please, enjoy it, as I do ;-)

"Garage art" by Donibane | 2009

> English version

What is the most important thing to take a good photo?

A good camera? Could be, but I dont think so.

Then, to have a lot of experience? Maybe, but is not just that.

So, what is the most important to you Donibane?
To me, is the "eye". The way you see what is around you.

And this is an example. This garage wall is close to the Guggenheim Museum. And to me is, in a way, "art".

"Graffity, ceramic, painting, humity"... in a "mixed technique" . And at the same time is "nothing" if you do not look at it if it was art.

What really makes the difference is the "eye". Our "eye". We, the photographers are like scintifics looking throught our "cameras" to show the rest of the world what we have founded. It was there but nobody have founded it before us.

This time, the "Garage art" by me,  Donibane. And it is free to see at the street ;-)

"Snow experience" by Donibane | 2009

donibaneleku 23/03/2009 @ 10:21

> English version

What is going on in this photography?

Since I started to make paintings, (specially the abstract ones) I noticed that many people "needed" to understand the meaning of the work. If not, the sensation of frustration was hug enought to hate that painting.

So, the same happen now with the photographies. If you dont understand what it represents, then, you probably will be scare of it and at the same time, hate it... or maybe not.

The original shot was just a serial of a girl lying at the snow (Valdezcaray, at La Rioja, Spain) and having fun. But when I mixed up some of the shots this was the strange result.

Enjoy it... and understand it if you really need it ;-)

Natural Park of AIA

> English version

Basque Country has a lot of wonderful places to walk and take shots.

This time I have gone to the Natural Park of AIA located at Guipuzkoa (one of the three provinces of South Euskal Herria).

It is an amazing place, with a botanic garden full of beautiful trees and plants.

So, here I will show you some of my shots and a picture of myself taken by Xenia (thanks a lot).

Enjoy them ;-)

Photo.net

> English version

When I first met photo.net (at least five years ago) I was working just as a designer. The photography was something new to me, but I learned the potential that it had visiting this amazing website. To me the best.

Then, I tried to take photos with the digital camera of my work. Nothing can did stop me ;-) (at least until now).

Looking at photo.net shots I learned many different things about photography. Portraits, landscapes, abstract, digital alteration...

And I learned that there are two groups of photographers.

The ones, that do not use the new technologies (photoshop) to improve there work (the purist or traditionals), and the others, who really want to make something else with their photos. To me, both ways are ok. But I have development my own style using my computer skills and of course photoshop, that one that Jack called once "Calidoscopy" or something like this.

And I have meet people like Glenn, from New Hamsphire, USA. And many others. And I have seen how they have improve over the time a lot ;-)

Now, when I read the comments at my porftolio I fill proud of my work and the many friends that I have around the world.

So, here are this comments, thank you all.

Tango at Bilbao
